The Internet
The internet has become my major social outlet since I started working nights. With the hours I work now, I keep in touch with a lot of people: old friends in the UK and Australia, servicemen Afghanistan and Iraq, and other people up late are the mainstays. I met a lot of people from Britain, Australia, Germany and the Netherlands in my travels, and it’s good to keep up with them. If I worked normal hours, there’s no way we’d ’see’ each other online, and I guess I’m grateful for the opportunity.
